It’s December and it’s starting to feel like winter❄

When winter comes, people often ask me, “Isn’t it cold to wear a kimono?”❣❣

Today, we’ll introduce some items

that will help you stay warm and enjoy wearing a kimono even in winter.🧣

[Scarves and shawls]

When renting a kimono, the first thing we recommend

as a cold weather item is the winter staple “scarf🧣”✨

Even a large shawl can cover your whole body, so you can rest assured❣❣

Due to the structure of kimonos, the neck area tends to be a little open,

so a scarf is recommended(*´꒳`*)🌙✨

Keeping your neck warm will keep you comfortable🎶

We recommend plain or Japanese patterned scarves

and shawls that go well with kimonos✨

Scarves and shawls are available for free❣❣ (limited number available)

You can also wrap your own scarf🎵

[Warm innerwear (Heattech, etc.)]

When wearing a kimono, you will inevitably end up wearing less clothing than usual

so we recommend wearing warm innerwear such as Heattech❣❣

Also, recently there are innerwear with high thermal insulation and cold protection properties on the market✨

If you are going to choose one anyway,

we recommend choosing a more thermal “warm innerwear”🎶

If you are renting a kimono, choose a loose-fitting V-neck or U-neck with a wide neckline so that the innerwear does not come out from the collar(*´꒳`*)🌙✨

[Use gloves to protect your hands from cold❢]

Gloves are also a standard item for keeping warm🎶

Kimono sleeves (the part around the wrist) are wide open, so cold air can easily get in through the gaps, so gloves are recommended (*´꒳`*)🌙✨

Antique (retro) kimonos are in fashion,

so they can also be used as an accent for your outfit❣❣

When it’s cold, the body tries to gather heat in the center to protect important organs,

so it is said that the extremities such as the hands and feet are prone to getting cold❄

Therefore, when renting a kimono in winter,

Items to warm your hands, such as gloves, are a must❣❣

Long types are even more recommended as they wrap your arms securely(*´꒳`*)🌙✨

White and black are easy to match,

and brown is recommended for the popular antique look🎵

Gloves are available for free rental🧤 (limited number available)

[Keep your accessories warm]

A winter staple: hand warmers⛄

If gloves alone don’t warm your fingertips, you can warm them up with hand warmers✨

They’re easily available at convenience stores,

so we recommend bringing some with you❣❣

[Keep your feet warm❣]

Warm leggings are recommended (*´꒳`*)🌙✨

If you wear zori sandals, you will need to wear tabi socks.

If you wear tights, you may need to take them off when putting on tabi socksΣ(゚∀゚ノ)ノ!!
