💗💚~~Hello, this is Tea ceremony and Calligraphy shop Waplus Nara~~💚💗

We have received some questions from customers, and we love that!

Today also we got it. They asked us “Are Tea Flowers Necessary? ”

That is a good question!

In short, tea flowers are not absolutely required, but they are an extremely important element in the tea ceremony. The flowers in the tea room is called  “Chabana”in Japanese. We will show you Chabana’s importance.

At first, Chabana conveys the season by using blooms that naturally grow at that time of year.
This reflects the essence of omotenashi (Japanese hospitality).

Next, Chabana is not artificially arranged but instead highlight the beauty of nature as it is.
This reflects a core value in Japanese culture: finding beauty in simplicity.

The last,Along with the hanging scroll, Chabana plays a key role in shaping the atmosphere of the tea room. Even a single flower can bring depth and tranquility to the space.

Chabana is not mere decoration—it reflects the host’s heart.
A single bloom can deepen and enrich the entire tea experience.

We hold three sessions daily at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.

Why don’t you come and experience a beautiful tea ceremony?

We look forward to seeing you💚💗
