The Zen Art of Living in the Moment

Koh-oon Ryusui — The Zen Art of Living in the Moment

💚~~Hello from Waplus Nara, a tea ceremony and calligraphy experience in Nara, Japan!~~💚

As you walk toward our tea room, you may notice a beautiful calligraphy scroll displayed along the passageway.

It reads:

「行雲流水」
Koh-oon Ryusui

This Zen phrase, was brushed by our founder and is displayed to welcomes to our guests as they make their way to the tea room.

Koh-oon Ryūsui literally means “drifting clouds and  flowing water.”

Clouds move freely across the sky, while water flows naturally along its course.

The phrase reminds us to live naturally, without resisting the flow of life.

Sometimes, we try too hard to control everything or worry about what lies ahead.
But just as clouds drift and water flows, there are times when it is better to accept each moment as it comes and move forward naturally.

In the world of tea, we treasure each encounter and each moment shared with our guests.

As you walk through the passageway toward the tea room, we hope these words will invite you to slow down, take a deep breath, and leave the busyness of everyday life behind.

May “
Koh-oon Ryusui” accompany you as you enter the  world of tea.
