Murata Juko invented the way of tea which was inherited by  Takeno Jhouou

and established by Sen no Rikyu

in 15th century.

Murata Juko, a monk born in Nara, used to serve tea to visitors at his hermitage in Nara.

The tea ceremony, whch has been handed down to the present day, began here in Nara.

At Waplus Nara JR Nara store, we offer tea ceremoy experience sessions

three times a day at 10:00, 13:00 and 15:00.
