●Kataoka Plum Grove (Nara City)

About 250 plum trees are planted here, and you can see deer and plum trees together 🎵

The best time to see the plum trees is usually mid-February to March.

 

Yakushiji Temple, the head temple of the Hosso sect (Nara City)

This temple was built by Emperor Tenmu in hopes of helping his empress (later Empress Jito) recover from an illness.

About 100 plum blossom trees, including weeping plum, white plum, and red plum, are planted within the grounds❣❣

Usual best time to see: Late January to early March🎶

 

Sugawara Tenmangu Shrine (Nara City)

The oldest Tenmangu Shrine in Japan, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane and others

The bonsai plum exhibition is held every year from early February to early March (this year 2025/2/2-3/5)✨

White plums, red plums, weeping plums, and more are planted❣❣

Usually the best time to see: early February to early March✧♡

 

Tsukigase Baikei (Nara City)

Known as one of the best plum groves in the Kansai region.

Approximately 10,000 plum trees are planted on both sides of the Nabari River that runs through the middle of Tsukigase❣❣

During plum season, the whole area is filled with red and white plum blossoms🎶

Usually best viewing time: Late February to mid-March🌙✨
