Nara is a historic land with many World Heritage sites and national treasure buildings❣❣

The ancient city of Nara has many historic temples and shrines

Among these, there are several places known as “power spots”✨

Today, We would like to introduce you to some of Nara’s power spots (⋈◍>◡<◍). ✧♡

【Kasuga Taisha Shrine (Nara City)】

Kasuga Taisha Shrine is a popular tourist spot in Nara.

Established in 768, this shrine was built to pray for the protection of Heijo-kyo and the prosperity of the people🎵

The head shrine of all Kasuga shrines in Japan❣❣

“Meoto Daikokusha”, the only shrine in the country where a married couple of Daikokusama are enshrined, is popular as a power spot for marital harmony and matchmaking✨

Kasuga Taisha has five sub-shrines and 56 subordinate shrines.

One of these sub-shrines, Wakamiya Shrine, is called “Wakamiya” and is famous for the “Kasuga Wakamiya Onmatsuri” 🎵

Wakamiya Shrine enshrines Amenooshikumone no Mikoto, a child deity born between the deities of the third and fourth shrines of the main shrine.

・Money matters
・Health matters
・Love matters
・Family matters

If you visit all 15 shrines of Wakamiya,

there is a “Wakamiya 15 Shrine Tour” where you can pray for all of these worries✨

Also, the deer that are often seen in Nara are famous as “messengers of the gods” originating from Kasuga Taisha❣❣

【Goryo Shrine (Nara City)】

A shrine founded by imperial decree of Emperor Kanmu in the early Heian period (800)⛩

On the left hand side after passing through the south gate is Shusse Inari Shrine, a sub-shrine known for its blessings in finding love🎵

It is said that the famous Toyotomi Hideyoshi devoutly worshipped this shrine❣❣

In addition, red strings are tied around the feet of the lion dogs on both sides of the South Gate as a prayer for the lion dogs to stay put, and people come to pray for love, prosperity in business, etc.❣❣

Shinto weddings are also held in the worship hall✨

【Isonokami Shrine (Tenri City)】

One of the oldest shrines in Japan

It is said to be the chief deity of the Mononobe clan, a powerful clan in the Asuka period, and stands out among ancient beliefs

It has been worshipped as the guardian deity of health and longevity, recovery from illness, warding off disasters, and bringing good fortune, and achieving all goals❣❣

Since Isonokami Shrine enshrines a sacred sword, they sell sword-shaped amulets called “Goshinken Mamori”,

a talisman for revival based on the legend that the sacred sword in which the main deity resides, Hanitama, revived Emperor Jimmu and his army 🎵

It’s recommended when you want the power to overcome adversity, such as in relationships or financial matters ✨

That’s all for today’s power spot introduction✨

There are still many more power spots in Nara❣❣

We’ll introduce the spots we couldn’t introduce this time next time (⋈◍>◡<◍). ✧♡
