Today, I am going to tell you about Tea whisk called Chasen in Japan.

Chasen is  an essensial part of the tea ceremony.

Demand for chasen has increased  in  rescent years, and some are made overseas.

However, each chasen is carefully made by hand in Takayama Town in Nara, and is beautiful like a work of art.  More than 90% of all of chasen in Japan are made in Takayama.

Takayama chasen are made of high quality bamboo from the mountains of Nara Prefecture.

We use high quality Takayama Chasen for our tea ceremony experience.
