For all you couples out there wondering where to go on your next date❣❣
Nara, where history and nature coexist in harmony, is full of date spots that couples can enjoy✨
Today, we would like to introduce some recommended classic date spots in Nara (⋈◍>◡<◍). ✧♡
Classic but Unmissable! The Iconic Date Spots in Nara 💖
First up, Nara Park
A classic and iconic date spot representing Nara✨
Enjoy a relaxed date amidst the rich nature❣❣
The vast Nara Park is famous for being home to wild deer🦌
Feeding the deer with shika-senbei (deer crackers) is a popular activity🎶
You can spend a soothing time interacting with the deer✨
Within Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple
Todai-ji Temple, built in the 8th century during the Nara period, is one of Japan’s most iconic temples❣❣
It’s registered as a World Heritage Site as part of the cultural heritage of the ancient capital of Nara✨
When you think of Todai-ji, you think of the Great Buddha (Daibutsu)
The Great Buddha Hall (Daibutsuden), which houses the Great Buddha, is one of the largest wooden buildings in the world❣❣
Inside the Great Buddha Hall, there is a pillar with a hole in it
The size of the hole is said to be the same as the nostrils of the Great Buddha. If you crawl through it, it’s believed to bring health and good fortune✨
It’s a fun challenge for couples to try together (⋈◍>◡<◍).✧♡
In front of the Great Buddha Hall is the Kagami-ike Pond
The reflection of the Great Buddha Hall on the water’s surface is truly enchanting✨
It’s a hidden gem, perfect for sitting back and relaxing❣❣
In spring, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms, and in autumn, the beautiful fall colors🎶
Also within Nara Park, Kasuga Taisha Shrine
Kasuga Taisha Shrine has over 1250 years of history⛩
It is registered as a World Heritage Site as part of the cultural heritage of the ancient capital of Nara❣❣
The vibrant vermilion-colored shrine buildings and the stone lanterns lined up in the forest create a mystical atmosphere (⋈◍>◡<◍).✧♡
Along the approach to the main hall, there are stone lanterns that add to the enchanting atmosphere, making it feel like stepping into a Studio Ghibli world✨
The deer of Nara are considered messengers of the gods
According to legend, when Kasuga Taisha was founded in 768, the deity Take Mikazuchi no Mikoto descended to Nara riding a white deer from Kashima Shrine❣❣
Because of this, the deer are revered as messengers of the gods, adding to the sacred aura of the shrine✨
The Meoto Daikoku Shrine is the only shrine in Japan that enshrines a married couple of Daikoku, the god of wealth (⋈◍>◡<◍).✧♡
It is said to bring blessings for love, matchmaking, and marital harmony🎶
Naramachi: Experience the streets of the ancient city of Nara
An atmospheric area lined with old townhouses🎵
There are few crowds, so you can spend your time leisurely (*´꒳`*)🌙✨
There are also cafes that use old houses, so you can have a relaxing date✨
Kimonos look great in the good old streets lined with traditional Japanese buildings like those in Kyoto and Nara🎵
From June to September, we mainly rent yukata, but we also have summer kimonos (unlined kimonos) available
It has a different feel to a yukata, so I recommend it (⋈◍>◡<◍). ✧♡
We also have formal kimono, long-sleeved kimono, and Shichi-Go-San costumes available all year round
Please feel free to contact us
Enjoy summer in the ancient city of Nara wearing a kimono or yukata (*´꒳`*)
Try wearing a kimono or yukata and make a wonderful memory
