Many overseas customers come to our store and ask us what is the difference between this and that kimono.<\/p>\n

I will tell you about komon, a popular casual kimono first.
\nIf you were to compare it to clothing, it would be a one-piece dress.
\nIt is also popular among foreigners as a kimono to wear for walking around town.<\/p>\n

Next is the Homongi.<\/p>\n

Homongi is a formal kimono worn by women for weddings, entrance ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, etc. in Japan.<\/p>\n

At our shop, it is popular as a traditional kimono with a gorgeous yet subdued pattern.<\/p>\n

Of course, you can also wear it for walking around town.<\/p>\n

It’s the perfect kimono for a tea ceremony experience.<\/p>\n

Last one is the furisode.<\/p>\n

In Japan, furisode is considered formal attire for unmarried women.
\nIf you were to compare it to Western clothing, it would be like a dress.<\/p>\n

It is often worn to celebrate turning 20 at the Coming of Age Ceremony.<\/p>\n

At our shop, we recommend it to customers who want to wear a gorgeous kimono or who are doing location shoots.<\/p>\n

Furisode are popular as gorgeous kimonos with long sleeves and traditional classical patterns.<\/p>\n
