Named after Murata Juk\u014d, who founded \u201cwabi-cha\u201d\u2014the origin of the tea ceremony\u2014in Nara, it aims to promote the appeal of tea ceremony culture and attract tourists. Seven schools, including Omotesenke and Urasenke, participate, offering authentic tea ceremonies and hands-on experiences at World Heritage sites like Kasuga Taisha Shrine and T\u014ddai-ji Temple.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year marks the 12th edition, which will be held on five dates:<br \/>\nFebruary 7 (Sat), 8 (Sun), 11 (Wed), 14 (Sat), and 15 (Sun), 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are required, but some sessions still have available seats, so if you&#8217;re interested, why not give it a try?<\/p>\n<p>At Tea Ceremony Shop Waplus Nara, we share the history of tea and how to enjoy matcha.<\/p>\n<p>Sessions are held three times daily at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
