Double Hook method – Two finger Grip<\/p>\n
This method involves pincing the brush handle between the thumb, index finger, and middle finger, while supporting the brush from below with the ring finger and little finger.<\/p>\n
Characterised by the use of multiple fingers, it allows for easy movement and facilitates the creation of strong, forceful lines.<\/p>\n
The Double Hook method is recommended for writing Chinese characters requiring firm strokes such as stops and hooks.<\/p>\n
Single Hook method – Single – hold<\/p>\n
This is a grip where the thumb and index finger lightly hold the brush handle, with the remaining three fingers lightly supporting the underside of the brush.<\/p>\n
It resembles the correct way to hold chopsticks or a pencil, but take care not to tilt the brush too much, as one might when holding a pencil.<\/p>\n
When using a small brush, this grip is easier to write with than the double- hook method.<\/p>\n
