A Special Meeting: The Spirit of Ichigo Ichie<\/p>\n

In our tea room, you\u2019ll find a hanging scroll with the words \u201cIchigo Ichie,\u201d a Japanese concept meaning \u201ca once-in-a-lifetime encounter.\u201d<\/p>\n

It reminds us to treasure every encounter because every moment is special and will never happen in quite the same way again.<\/p>\n

During our shared tea experiences, guests from all over the world often sit together in the same tea room. Many of them are meeting for the very first time.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s always lovely to see guests smiling, chatting, and taking photos of one another. Even though they come from different countries and speak different languages, they can still share a wonderful moment together.<\/p>\n

Watching these happy interactions makes me think, \u201cThis is Ichigo Ichie, too!\u201d<\/p>\n

Here in Nara, people from around the world come together to enjoy matcha and experience a little of Japanese culture. They may have been strangers when they arrived, but they leave with lovely memories of the time they shared.<\/p>\n

We hope you\u2019ll enjoy not only the tea, but also the special people you meet along the way.<\/p>\n

Every meeting has its own story. That\u2019s the beauty of Ichigo Ichie.<\/p>\n
