About Formal Plan

Items for Plan

The basic fee includes kimono rental, Obi belt, bag, Zori sandals, Tabi socks, dressing, and luggage storage service.

Return Time

Please return to our shop by 6:00 p.m.
You can also return the kimono by noon on the next day for an additional ¥1,100.

Steps for Renting a Kimono

The kimono rental service is available for up 30 groups per day and is by appointment only. Please fill out the appointment form and include your desired date and time.
Please return the kimono on that day. There is an optional plan for returning it the next day.

Features of Formal Plan

For those who want to wear a composed Kimono , we recommend elegant and sophisticated Homongi style Kimono.【Formal Plan is ideal for strolling around Kyoto in an elegant style.】The price is a flat rate of 12,000 yen (tax included), and you can choose your favourite Kimono from Japanese famous branded Kimonos and new Kimonos! In addition, cute Kawaii hair set that matches your Kimono is optionally available for an additional fee of 1,100 yen.
* If you chose the next day return option (1,100 yen), you can enjoy the Formal Plan for even longer period and even more leisurely.

Yasaka Shrine

Yasaka Shrine is one of the must visit locations in the Gion Shijo district. The main shrine is believed to ward off misfortunes, disasters, and epidemics, and the Okuninushi shrine next to the main shrine is believed to bring good luck in matchmaking and marriage.
It is believed that if you drink the sacred water Biyousui and pray at Utsukushigozensha Shrine in the grounds, you will be re warded with beautiful skin as well as beautiful soul.
Waplus Kyoto is a 1 minute walk from Yasaka Shrine! There will be plenty of time to enjoy photoshoots and the atmosphere in your favourite Kimono, even if you have a short period of time

Hanamikoji

Hanamikoji (Hanamikoji Dori) is a street that runs in a north south direction of Gion, from Sanjo-dori to Yasui Kitamon-dori. It is divided into north and south sections, and the south section is the most popular among visitors and tourists. To preserve scenic integrity of Hanamikoji all the electric cables are buried underground, and you will be for sure enchanted by the beautiful historic houses typical of Kyoto. If you are lucky, you might encounter real Maiko or Geiko on this street
